"I've loved Lily/Snape from the very first moment I knew they had studied at Hogwarts on the same years. After OotP I'm so convinced there was actually 'something' between them that it's canon to me"
"I like the idea of a past relationship between Lily Evans and Severus Snape; I think it's really believable. It also fits to the story quite perfectly, so to me it seems like a shouted secret *lol*"
"I had never thought about it until Adha told me one day. Why would Snape hate Harry so much? I don't think it's just because of his father. Lily/Snape would have much more sense, don't you think? So I had to admit she was right"
"When Adha told me her theory about Lily/Severus... I saw the light! I think it's clear that, at least, Snape liked Lily. At least. Or, well, maybe I just like the idea, and the books are all written to let us fantasize about it."
"I have always felt very strongly that Lily/Snape have been a couple in their days at Hogwarts. Definitely since the first bad thing Snape says about Lily happens, coincidentaly, to be in "Snape's worst memory" .... too much coincidence. I am vigoursly waiting for the day Snape exploades in his charming way and sneerly tells Potter "I snogged your mother Potter ..and it was good..."
"There is something that touches and intrigues me everytime I think of Lily/Snape. I was a confirmed shipper when I read the tree incident in the fifth book and would be heartbroken if it wasn't discovered that Lily loved Snape and he returned her feelings."
"I learned to love this pair through a great friend of mine who wrote about them. I had never imagined that this pair could have happened in the Marauders' years but now I know them it is only natural for me to think about them. It's like physical laws applied to literature, their relationship HAS TO have happened..."
"This pairing is really canon. I think they actually had something in the past, there are too many things, too many clues... and I always remember that song by Jarabe de Palo, "El lado oscuro" (The Dark Side). It's really their song, or at least one of them... and well, it's great there's a fanlisting about them!!"
"It's scandalous, that's why it would work! Plus that would explain why Snape is so pissy, never bags on Lily, and why Lily was killed in the first place."
"I have a feeling that this ship is canon after all. I guess we'll see in the next books. If it is, though, Lily made the wrong choice, IMO. I'd choose Snape over James any day! ;)"
"Well snape is my favourite character and I've been shipping snape/lily for so long, it's a better relationship that the one with james...;) kinda like the beaty and the beast (but here, the beast is hot ;))"
"It does explain an awful lot about Snape's attitudes towards Harry, and the flashback in the Order of the Phoenix. Plus James Potter is obviously a cad, Snape is better!"
"Up until a short time ago, I didn't even consider L/S to be a legitimate ship, but now that I've read some of the stories, I can't get the idea out of my head! It's infectous, I swear."
"I have speculated on this since the beginning--there must be more to Snape's hatred for Harry than James. I truly think he loved Lily, and it's thrilling. This fanon is my canon. (It's fanon at this point, anyhow.) LOVE. IT."
"I believe that Snape's love for Lily was unrequited. Their relationship was platonic on her side, and it deteriorated after his pain and pride caused him to call her a mudblood. That's why it's Snape's worst memory. Snape's motivations hinge on his love for Lily."
"I'm totally in love with Severus/Lily. From... always I believe that there was something between them, and now that it's almost a fact i'm so happy :D They always interested me much more as couple that James/Lily, what can I say? ;)"
"I believe...and i've thought of this since book 5, that lily and snape had a thing toether. Ever since i read the 5th H.P installment i could not shut up about the theorie. I wrote it all over my note books for school, it became my aim s/n and email. I love the meer fact of him actually having a love interest. Makes him look more human. I've ALWAYS loved snape. Even since the 1st book. Even though there are alot of people refusing to believe that someone could ACTUALLY like him in more then a friend-ish way. so basically this whole theorie of snapenlily has a control on my life..lol...and will always..even after the books end..or even if the theories arent true (which i shudder to think) and we're just dreaming something that wasnt ever there...BUT I DOUBT IT. lol. :):)"
"I am a firm believe that the most exciting time of pairing is one that is angsty and emotional because I don't want a sappy ending to an even more corny story. I want lust, love, hurt, sadness, depression, jealousy, anger and resentment! And that is why Snape and Lily do for me. I don't think she ever loved him, but she definitely cared for him in a friend like way. I do think he loved her, and this will be confirmed in book 7!"
"I've loved and appreciated Lily/Snape from the first angsty romance fic I've read (aren't those great? :D). I've browsed through pages and pages of Lily/Snape theories on various forums, and I'm convinced it'll be canon by book 7."
"Lily/Snape rox, it's the best out there, and I don't want to hear otherwise. I love this site! I even sent a link from the theories page to all my die-hard lily/james friends. hah!"
"Love them. A totally plausible ship that gives the HP series an element of tragedy. Regardless of how the seventh book plays out, I'll always think there was "something up" with Lily and Snape..."
"I think that the Harry Potter Books are practically screaming "At some point, Snape loved Lily Evans." There is hardly any good Snape/Lily fanfiction. Doesn't anyone notice that almost every time Harry and Snape have a glaring competition, Harry's green eyes win? Does anyone else think that the reason the Snape hates Sirius and wanted him to rot in Azkaban was that he thought he betrayed Lily? They both love potions...she stood up for him(I'm sure there's a reason he called her a mudblood)...Snape get's angrier in Harry's Occlumency classes when he sees Lily waving back from the mirror..."
"Dumbledore isn't stupid. He knows Voldemort well, and he probably knows Snape well too. Snape's life decisions are styled after the principles of Machiavelli. Not truly evil, not truly good. He does everything out of self interest. I believe he loved Lily, which is the only plausible reason for Dumbledore to believe Snape's spun tale of "remorse". Dumbledore trusted Snape to bring about the downfall of Voldemort, thus avenging Lily, and therefore in the long run obligated to help Harry. No where in those requirements does it list helping DUMBLEDORE necessarily, and clearly Snape's decision at the climax of the 6th book was based upon effort to defeat Voldemort. (Think: Who will Voldemort trust the most now? Hmm? Wink, wink!) Go avenge Lily for us, Severus! (You've gotta have a soft spot for a guy avenging the girl he secretly loved...sniff!)"
"I love the lily/snape ship.Jo has practically laid out all the clues right in front of us.The only thing remaining is to know whether lily returned those feelings, which i soo hope she did.It would make it even more tragic.Poor snivellus."
"I have always thought that Snape was in love with Lily, and that perhaps she might have returned some of the feelings. I'm so glad that others agree."
