Adhara Phoenix
Born in March 15th 1983. Therefore, Pisces. And yes, I do believe in these things.
I don't really know what to say or how to sort info about me. This is not going to be a third person tale because I feel too ridiculous saying 'Adhara was born in yadda yadda yadda'. And I don't really know if you care at all about this. Maybe you do and that's why you clicked the link, and maybe you don't and ended here through a funny "series of unfortunate events". That would be cool, but that would also mean that you don't care a shit about what I have to say here. I don't blame you :)
I've lived all my life in Santander, a small town in the North of Spain. My mother tongue is Spanish and I speak that one way better than English. I love languages, that could be something to tell you. I've studied Italian for a year and learned Quenya (the ancient elvish) back in the days when I had time and will to study a language spoken only by crazy fans. And no, I don't remember anything in Quenya, excepting I Ambar nólin sintëa, nan nalye símen which means -or maybe not, for it was a sentence I translated myself from Spanish to Quenya and I studied it for barely two months- The world I know fades away, but you're still here. Cheesy? Sure, it was the final line for my Marysuest piece of fanfiction ever.
My life has been quite normal as far as I know. As a child my biggest influence was my grandfather, my father's father. He died in 2000 and I miss him badly. If you had ever talked to me you probably know it already
It was him who passed on me one of my biggest passions, writing. He was a writer himself and my parents both are great readers. I learned to read at two and started reading real books at four. My teachers used to send me to higher classes so I could borrow their books, since there weren't any at our grade. I wear glasses because of that - as a child my parents would send me to bed too early and I used to read under the sheet, with no light. We could say my eyes blew out, but now I can see in the dark! No. Really. I can.
My first school was the Divina Pastora Primary School. I loved it. My high school sucked and I hated it. No need to waste time telling you about that.
During high school I was selected with two scholarships for both great courses at the Fundación Marcelino Botin, the first one being on Creative Writing and the second one the year after, on Illustration. Both of them I attended with my friend Sniper, whom I had met in a common friend 14th birthday party and got on incredibly well with, but never had seen each other again. Serendipia ;)
I've been on the net for almost ten years now, back in the times when being a 14 years old in the chatrooms was a real boom and everyone was at least in his thirties. Good ol' times, yep. I was a sucker for IRC for years but now I'm older and got burnt and well, stuff. Very unpleasant stuff, I should add.
After high school I studied Computer Programming and the first course of Graphic Design. I'm currently (as of January 2007) living at Scotland, working as a volunteer for the Edinburgh Cyrenians. I live at an organic farm in the Lothians with a group of young people at risk of homelesness. Still don't know what I'm going to do with my life after this.
